For Love!

"We can give without loving but we can't love without giving". I've heard this phrase countless times and I'm sure most of us have to.  Some of us say it without even understanding what it means.

One of our vision as in Vertopia (Pearls) is to raise more "Dorcas" in this generation;  women whose giving can practically bring a dead situation back to life. I've come to realise that giving has nothing to do with what you have in your hands,  rather giving starts from the heart where motives are resident.

 My Pastor would say "If it's in your heart God will put it in your hands".  Humorously I told someone recently that I would rather give to someone who is in need than hoard what I have in my hands as either ways it probably wouldn't be enough to settle the needs I have,  so wouldn't it be a blessing to be part of someone's joy. God so loved us that he took the risk to give his Son. If we are God's children we should also do the works of our father.

FAITHFUL IS HE WHO HAS CALLED YOU (1ST THESSALONIANS:5:24). 1st Thessalonians 5:24—"The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.”

To say that God is faithful goes to the core of His character. Faithful is who He is. He keeps His word because if He did not, he would not be God! How many people do you know who do exactly what they say? This world is filled with uncertainties and is constantly changing.  Promises are made often and many are broken right after they are made. Man's promises "WILL" be broken. Yet, God remains a covenant keeping God because He is faithful. If He said it, He will do it for He is faithful. Everything that God says and does is certain. He is dependable, He does not fail, forget, falter, change or disappoint. He says what He means and does what He says. When God speaks, it comes to pass. The much anticipated WOTGK conference took place last Saturday, 18th March 2017 at the ALDC Covenant University, Ota. The event attracted hundreds of ladies from within and outside Ota. The theme of the conference was “Audience of One”. The event featured word ministrations, a panel session, dance drama, fashion show by NHN Couture amongst others. Dr Ada Sonia- A lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication at the Covenant University talked about maintaining a genuine relationship with God.
